Tutoring for Little Komang
Do you remember little Komang from our previous SUPPORT project? While renovating his family’s home, we learned that Komang had stopped attending school a long time ago. After being bullied at school, he refused to go back, and his parents, lacking proper guidance, tragically accepted his decision.
Komang is 10 years old and can’t read nor write nor speak Bahasa Indonesia. He only knows Bahasa Bali, the language spoken at home. To help him, we’ve arranged for a private teacher to tutor him three times a week. Our goal is to bring him to a level where he can rejoin a regular school and have a chance at a brighter future.
However, keeping Komang engaged in his lessons has been a challenge. His cognitive development seems to have been delayed, possibly due to a lack of stimulation or an undiagnosed condition. At this stage, we can’t be certain, but we hope to learn more over time.
For now - with the help of your donations, we are doing everything we can to support this sweet boy and hopefully give him the tools to succeed ?
